So if you wanted to start out from scratch or with friends, you had to play a multiplayer and in multi, there was no pause for anything. 2) The single player was only the campaigns for each race(3 of them) and that in multiplayer there was no pausing the game for any reason. A few small examples: 1) The main warrior race( I forget the name) had a lightening gun that had tremendous range and damage and would always hit. The main reason imo that he 2nd game was a flop, was do to the fact that there wasn't anything special about it and there were some elements to the game that made it nearly unplayable. To set it straight, the First game was absolutly amazing for its time.
